It can't rain all the time. But apparently it can suck.
Sometimes resurrecting a long deceased revenant of an idea is great, and results in something new and interesting. This is very definitely NOT one of those times. It's boring, filled with unlikeable characters and chocked full of unearned references to previous films and uninspired attempts at bringing the franchise into the 2020s. It's really really REALLY bad.

The Crow

People once believed that when a franchise dies, a crow carries it to the land of the dead (direct to video). But sometimes, something so bad happens to a film series that a terrible sadness is carried with it and the franchise can’t rest. The Crow is that franchise, and despite it languishing in Development Hell for nearly 20 years it has now been resurrected to shamble onto the screen once more.

Synopsis

Soulmates Eric Draven and Shelly Webster are brutally murdered when the demons of her dark past catch up with them. Given the chance to save his true love by sacrificing himself, Draven returns to seek bloody revenge against the killers, traversing the worlds of the living and the dead to put the wrong things right.
