Well, its Suicide Squad Groundhog Day. Again.
A far superior sequel that neatly manages to both expand and reboot the franchise in one fell swoop. Blood soaked and uneven in tone, with some big-misses mixed in with its undeniable hits.

THE Suicide Squad Goals
A more cohesive and narratively fulfilling film that its predecessor
Likeable and charming characters who win you over in spite of their HUGE issues.
Skirts the fine line between comedy and horror closely; usually getting it right.
Task Force Sux
Larger plot points and characters introduced late in the game probably should have been given more time
It is unrepentantly gory and violent and that will be too much for a lot of viewers
Theres some representation issues relating to women and mother figures that are a bit hackneyed.

As a weird, quasi-sequel/reboot to the 2016 cinematic tour-de-farce that was Suicide Squad, this new film, THE Suicide Squad, (directed by James Gunn) shoots off in bold, weird new directions, even if its name remains almost entirely the same.  Here’s a hint, add a definite article to your next title and see what happens!That extra added certainty is guaranteed to surprise and amaze your friends!

THE Dion, THE Jill and THE Quinny, all drop their hottest of hot-takes on this continued expansion of the D.C. Cinematic Universe. will it infuriate Dion and Quinny enough that they write their own furious reviews about it?
