Following on from the events of Avengers: Endgame, many would be fairly surprised to see a stand-alone film based around Black Widow. This story however, is set a few years prior and fills in a narrative gap that, let’s be frank, probably nobody really felt needed filling. This time around Natasha Romanov’s Black Widow (Scarlett Johannson) is joined by her “sister” Yelena (Florence Pugh) “Mother” Melina (Rachel Weisz) and father figure Alexei “Red Guardian” Shostakov (David Harbour) in her task to bring down the evil organisation that created her.
Jill and Peta are definitely the badass super-spy Black Widows of this podcast, meaning Dion and Quinny are left playing the roles of either: “sleepy fixer”, “nostalgic russki” or “Ray Winstone’s bad accent”.
